Preserve a person’s legacy by making sure their story is told

Every life deserves a memoir

Backed by twenty-five years of nonfiction writing experience and counseling, I work with you and your loved ones to turn a life story into a memoir that transcends time and place.

What Our Clients Say

An elderly couple sharing a kiss while sitting on a bench, surrounded by four young children. The children are sitting in various positions around the couple, some looking at the camera and some looking elsewhere. The scene is indoors against a plain wall.

“Andrés found a way to bring together, for the first time, the story of my grandmother — the matriarch of a beautiful family that emigrated to the United States. As the book was being prepared for publication, my grandmother passed away. Now my children and their children will be able to learn about our roots directly from the source.”

My father was a colorful, kind man who was born in the Basque Country and traveled around the world. He passed away before my first son was born. Last year, my daughter brought home a drawing she made during a Día de los Muertos activity. When I asked who it was, she pointed to a word she had written below the drawing: aita, which means “dad” in Euskara and is how I refer to him.

Hello! My name is Andrés Oliveros. Here’s why I’m doing this.

I have been writing nonfiction for over twenty-five years, including publishing daily on my blog in 2025. My passion for storytelling led me to found a company devoted to helping organizations harness its power. Telling stories is what I love most.

But here’s the main reason I’m doing this project:

It’s personal.

My dad passed away eleven years ago, three months before my first son Gabriel was born.

I have pictures and some videos to show my kids, but not much else.

Sometimes I share fun facts or stories about him:

  • His favorite movie (The Blues Brothers) and favorite band (Led Zeppelin)

  • The time he left his safe job to start his own business

  • How generous he was, and how he used to tell us that smiles were contagious

A few months ago, I opened my computer and saw a Google Chrome tab full of my Gabriel’s poems, part of a big school assignment he had this year.

One of the poems was titled I Wish. In it, I read this line:

I wish I had my grandpa from my dad’s side.

Since bringing people back isn’t possible, telling his story may be the next best thing, a way to give my kids a sense of his personality.

The problem is, he’s gone now, as are most of his siblings and friends. I don’t have that choice.

You still might.

Your Questions, Answered

How do we get started?

Begin by scheduling a free discovery call. We’ll discuss your goals, timeline, and budget to determine the best approach for the project.

Can we tell the story of a deceased person?

Absolutely. If there are enough loved ones and information to share about their life’s story, we’ll make it work.

How is payment handled?

Once the project scope is defined, we issue an invoice with agreed-upon milestones. You pay only after approving the outlined deliverables, ensuring transparency throughout the engagement.
